Flat Rate Shipping on Check Paper – a thing of the past.
For years we’ve offered flat rate shipping on our check paper $8 / 1,000 for phone in orders. This year we planned to up it to $9 / 1,000, but we felt that wasn’t really fair. Our shipping cost for check stock varies from $7.41 to $13.37 depending on whether you are in Georgia or California. Every year FedEx / UPS increases our shipping cost around 6%. Some years we’ve done nothing, others we’ve increased the cost.
If you’ve ordered from our website, it has always calculated the by retrieving them from the FedEx site real time. But for phone orders for simplicity we just had a flat rate which benefited some while penalizing others depending on the distance from our warehouse.
Our new system uses actual FedEx published rates. We do not markup shipping or add any “handling” charges. Here is a sheet with detailed check paper ground rates. We’ve also adopted the new real time system for pre-printed check for QuickBooks, Quicken and more.
Note: if you are located in Alaska and Hawaii, we can give you 2 day air to ship your check stock for the same price as ground.
