Flat Rate Shipping on Check Paper – a thing of the past.

For years we’ve offered flat rate shipping on our check paper $8 / 1,000 for phone in orders. This year we planned to up it to $9 / 1,000, but we felt that wasn’t really fair. Our shipping cost for check stock varies from $7.41 to $13.37 depending on whether you are in Georgia or California. Every year FedEx / UPS increases our shipping cost around 6%. Some years we’ve done nothing, others we’ve increased the cost.

If you’ve ordered from our website, it has always calculated the by retrieving them from the FedEx site real time. But for phone orders for simplicity we just had a flat rate which benefited some while penalizing others depending on the distance from our warehouse.

Our new system uses actual FedEx published rates. We do not markup shipping or add any “handling” charges. Here is a sheet with detailed check paper ground rates. We’ve also adopted the new real time system for pre-printed check for QuickBooks, Quicken and more.

Note: if you are located in Alaska and Hawaii, we can give you 2 day air to ship your check stock  for the same price as ground.

The high yield toner cartridge prints 12,500 pages at 5% coverage and offers a considerable cost per page savings over the CE255A toner cartridge. We were happy to see that HP did not make some models that could accommodate the high yield cartridge while other models only used the standard yield cartridge. So the high yield cartridge fits all P3015 series laser printers.

New Product: HP LaserJet Pro P1606DN MICR Network Laser Printer

We’ve just released the HP P1606DN MICR Laser Printer. This is a fantastic deal as this printer is fast at 26ppm and has Ethernet and USB connectivity with duplexing for $299. This is for a limited time only as we purchased a large lot of these printers, but once they are gone, the price will go up to $379. The printer includes a New HP CE278A MICR Toner cartridge. Note: HP supplies the P1606dn with a “starter” cartride that prints only half the pages that  a standard new cartridge would.  Unfortunately the starter cartridge has a smaller toner reservoir than the standard cartridge, so there is only so much toner we can pack into the cartridge. Our estimate is 1,200 pages or so.

New Products HP CC364X MICR and Text Toner (High Yield)

We’re pleased to announce we now stock the HP CC364X MICR and HP CC364X Text toner cartridges for the HP

LaserJet P4015 and P4150 printers. The CC364X is rated at 24,000 pages. Note the CC364X will not fit in the P4014N series printers as it only takes the standard yield (10K) cartridge. The cost per page is substantially lower if your printer can take the CC364X cartridge. The cost per page on the CC364X MICR toner cartridge is 1.33 cents per page. It seem that most of our customers have the P4014N cartridge that won’t accept the high yield cartridge. Cost saving over the life of the printer can be a justification for buy the more expensive P4015N over the P4014N.

Note: Because the CC364X weighs more than 500 grams we won’t be able to ship these to the UK due to the recent toner bomb incident.

HP P4014N MICR Laser Printer On Sale!

HP just released some great instant rebates on select HP printers. Mostly the instant rebates are for the higher end HP printers like the P3015 and the P4014 series. We’re passing the cost savings along to our customers for our HP MICR laser printers.

We have a $200 instant rebate on the HP P3015N MICR laser printer bringing the cost down to$525 from $725. Better yet HP has a $375 instant rebate on the P4014N bring the price of our P4014N MICR laser printer down to $575 from $1,099 (somehow the

cost dropped $524). These are great deals and it won’t surprise me if HP’s inventory disappears quickly. Both of these printers are sturdy work horse printers and you really can’t go wrong.  So if you are considering upgrading your aging printer, now is a good time to do it. In addition HP still has the Trade-in and Save 2010 program that allows you to trade in your old printer for cash.

We’ve just released 4 new Advantage Brand toner cartridges. Both a text and a MICR toner cartridge for the HP CB435A and CB436A. The CB435A is most commonly used in the HP P1005 and P1006, while the CB436A is most commonly used in the HP P1505.

The cartridges are all remanufactured and represent a savings of 30 – 35% over buying new HP cartridges. These cartridges are engineered to print the same page yield with the same print quality as a new HP toner cartridge.

All of these cartridges come packed in “the box” and are in stock as of today.
